The surgical block of the HGPS has several operating theaters, equipped with the latest technology and designed to ensure maximum patient safety.
Surgical Block
According to the new times our surgical team has been strengthened based on three pillars that are: Medicine based on evidence, good practices and competence of our surgeons. This has managed to sectorize the surgical specialties in their areas of expertise in order to ensure an optimal and safe service.
We have a comprehensive and innovative service from our Management Manager Surgical Management which encompasses all the services we offer in the surgical block it starts from when the patient is identified as surgical, our door 23 second floor edf. 1, it manages all the documents required to start its pre-surgical evaluation process, this allows it to shorten the evaluation process in the HGPS and the authorizations by the insurers.
Surgical services offered derive from the Management Manager of Surgical Management and Central Sterilization, which consists of seven (7) managements are:
Hepato - Bilium - Splene - Pancreatic: Pathologies related to the liver (liver tumors, metastases, etc.), biliary tract and gallbladder (cholangiocarcinoma, gallstones, choledochal cysts), hypersplenism, splenic lymphomas, pancreatic tumors.
Coloproctology: Pathologies of colon, rectum and anus (hemorrhoids, fissures, anorectal malformations).
Otorhinology: Tonsillectomies, adenoids, tympanoplasties, upper airway tumors.
Oncologic surgery: General and specialized in Breast Pathologies, Head and neck pathologies: Thyroid, parathyroid, laryngeal tumors, etc.
Pathologies of Surface Tissues: Hernias, incisional hernias, tumors, infectious pathologies.
Gastrointestinal tract pathology: Esophagus, stomach and duodenum (Malformations, obstructions, appendicitis, etc.)
Pediatric surgery: hernias, congenital malformations, digestive tract, circumcision, others.
Bariatric: Surgical treatment of obesity.
Transplant Unit: who currently performs liver, kidney and corneas.
Reconstructive surgery: Complex limb trauma with vascular compromise, reimplantation of limbs, repair of neurovascular injuries with microsurgery.
