Application of Chemotherapy Treatments: The administration of chemotherapy is one of the key procedures in the management of cancer patients. In the onco-hematology unit of HGPS, we provide these patients with outpatient chemotherapy services, which allows the patient to remain inserted in their daily lives, without the need to remain hospitalized. This model allows avoiding the hospitalization of the patient receiving intravenous therapy, with a saving of bed days, improvement in the quality of life and reduction of nosocomial infections. Similarly, in cases where it is required, we provide the patient with chemotherapy application services in hospitalized patients, providing timely care, in accordance with the established quality standards.

Bone Marrow Transplants: A bone marrow transplant deposits healthy bone marrow stem cells into the patient. This replaces bone marrow that is not working properly or that has been destroyed (removed) by chemotherapy or radiation. Our department has a bone marrow transplant unit, unique in the country, where patients are transplanted according to the highest quality standards and with the most advanced techniques currently available.
